I'm starting this blog because I post terrible quality iPhone pictures of the food I cook on Facebook, and at least one person always requests the recipe. When I decided a little over a year ago that I wanted to change my eating habits and get healthy, I was seriously disappointed because I loved to cook. My "healthy" dinners consisted of a chicken breast and vegetables. This was particularly difficult for me because macaroni and cheese is the first great love of my life, and I happen to think butter and garlic are the key ingredients to almost every meal. 


Thankfully, I've moved on from the chicken-breast-and-vegetable only diet.  I try to cook every night, Monday through Friday (with frequent contributions by my boyfriend and moral support from my cat).  Most of the meals are fairly simple and balanced.  I try to diversify what I make from week to week if only because I get bored easily.  This definitely isn't an effort to be the next hit foodie blog; I just wanted an easy way to share recipes with family and friends. I hope you enjoy some of them.
